Objectives

1. Find formulas for partial sums of series.
2. Find sums of series with geometric terms if possible.
3. Express repeating decimals as ratios of two integers.
4. Use the nth-Term Test for divergence.
5. Find sums of telescoping series if possible.
6. Determine whether an infinite series converges or diverges, and find the sum if it exists.
7. Find sums of geometric series with a variable x and the values for which they converge.
8. Reindex series, find series which converge to given values, and find unknown parameters in series.
