The purpose of the Orientation to Online Teaching is to allow those teaching to be able to identify some of the procedures and tools used by UTPB in teaching online.

The rise of personal computing and the Internet has changed modern life for everyone. Because of this technological innovation, instructors deliver traditional face-to-face courses, blended, flipped, hybrid, and fully online courses. With each method of course delivery, there are different teaching methods that are best suited for that delivery.

By the end of the Orientation to Online Teaching, you will

Know how important quality instruction in online education is at UTPB.
Recognize the characteristics of learners encourages learners to stay on track in their courses.
Be able to create a personal presence in your online class.
Establish class management techniques to improve student success.
Identify time management skills that can improve your teaching experience.
Be able to locate administrative support and support services for yourself and for students.
